การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) ร่วมเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ด้วยโครงการสื่อสาร “รอยยิ้มของแผ่นดิน” (Smile of the Land : Great Smile Grand Moment) ถ่ายทอดพระเกียรติคุณอันทรงคุณค่าและพระราชกรณียกิจอันยิ่งใหญ่ที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับการท่องเที่ยว โดยมุ่งเผยแพร่พระราชปณิธานในการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ สิ่งแวดล้อมและส่งเสริมชุมชน เพื่อให้ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวได้ร่วมซาบซึ้งในพระเมตตา และภาคภูมิใจในมรดกแห่งรอยยิ้มอันงดงาม ทั้งจากผืนป่า ภูเขา และหัวใจของผู้คนใต้ร่มพระบารมี
โดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากเหตุการณ์ที่ครั้งหนึ่ง เมื่อพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร ได้พระราชทานสัมภาษณ์แก่สื่อต่างประเทศ ซึ่งมีผู้ถามว่า “เหตุใดพระมหากษัตริย์ไทยจึงไม่ค่อยยิ้ม” พระองค์จึงทรงผายพระหัตถ์ไปทางสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง และตรัสด้วยพระสุรเสียงอ่อนโยนว่า “She is my smile.” นั่นคือ “รอยยิ้มของฉัน”
รอยยิ้มของพระองค์จึงเป็นภาพที่ประทับอยู่ในหัวใจของพสกนิกรทั่วประเทศ ดุจดัง “รอยยิ้มของแผ่นดิน” ที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งความสุข ความเมตตา และพระปรีชาญาณที่สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ทรงมอบแก่แผ่นดินไทย

“Smile of the Land” (Great Smile Grand Moment)
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) joins in honoring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother with the communication project “Smile of the Land” (Great Smile Grand Moment). This project aims to convey Her Majesty’s invaluable virtues and great royal duties related to tourism, focusing on publicizing her royal resolve to conserve nature, the environment, and promote local communities. The goal is for the public and tourists to appreciate Her Majesty’s compassion and to take pride in the legacy of the beautiful smile, emanating from the forests, mountains, and the hearts of the people under her grace.
The project is inspired by an incident where His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great once granted an interview to the foreign media. When asked, “Why doesn’t the King of Thailand smile often?” His Majesty gestured towards Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and softly said, “She is my smile.”
Her Majesty’s smile is thus an image imprinted in the hearts of the people nationwide, truly as the “Smile of the Land,” symbolizing the happiness, compassion, and profound wisdom that Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother has bestowed upon the Thai nation.
