ททท. ได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวอย่างรับผิดชอบเป็นอย่างมาก ซึ่งในปีนี้ ได้เพิ่มประเภทรางวัลการท่องเที่ยวคาร์บอนต่ำเพื่อความยั่งยืน (Low Carbon & Sustainability) ในงานประกาศรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวไทย (Thailand Tourism Awards) ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในเดือนกันยายน เพื่อยกระดับและสร้างมาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวไทยสู่การเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน
